The oceanfront property, which opened in 1919, underwent a comprehensive $200 million restoration and renovation that was completed last year. It reopened in December 2014.
“Condado Vanderbilt Hotel has been impressively restores to its grandeur, but it is even better than ever,” said ALHI president Jim Schultenover. “It is an outstanding new option for groups for both meetings and incentive programs, with a truly beautiful setting, magnificent facilities, new guest rooms and suites, and fantastic recreational options.”
Restored to its original grandeur, the Condado features Spanish Revival architecture, 319 guest rooms and suites, 25,000 square feet of exquisitely remodeled function space, and 5,000 square feet of terrace space with uninterrupted views of the Atlantic.
The renovation included the addition of two adjoining 11-storey Suite Towers; an infinity-edge pool that overlooks the ocean; three additional pools; and the 10,000-square-foot The Spa at Condado Vanderbilt, which features eight treatment rooms, a steam room and hammam.
Other amenities are: 24-hour fitness centre; free Wi-Fi; butler service; concierge service; and three restaurants (1919 Restaurant, Ola Ocean Front Bistro and the Veranda Lounge).
In addition to its membership in ALHI’s worldwide portfolio, the Condado is also the newest option in ALHI’s “Bahamas, Bermuda & Caribbean Collection” specialty segment, along with its “Beach & Island Collection” and “Historic Collection” specialty segments.
