With a $12 million renovation completed, the Sheraton Pittsburgh Airport Hotel has re-opened its doors to business guests, meeting hosts and leisure travelers, reports Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Richfield Hospitality, Inc.

The hotel, which is located 10 minutes from Pittsburgh International Airport, was stripped down to its studs and concrete for the renovation. It reopens with brand new carpets, wall coverings, linens, tableware, barware, lighting, audiovisual systems, guest rooms and event spaces

“This world-class hotel is exactly what Pittsburgh needs,” says Craig Davis, president and CEO of VisitPittsburgh. “The Sheraton flag is a great addition to the airport corridor.”

The hotel’s 200 rooms and suites feature double-paned windows for privacy, wireless high-speed Internet access, nightstands with built-in electrical outlets, flat-screen HDTVs with expanded cable offerings, coffee makers and complimentary Starbucks products, as well as the Sheraton Sweet Sleeper bed, the hotel industry’s only AAA Five Diamond Award® bed. Club Level guests have exclusive access to the modern Club Lounge, which serves complimentary breakfast, beverages and evening hors d’oeuvres daily.

Over 8,000-square-feet of flexible meeting space, including the 6,000-square-foot Grand Ballroom, accommodate groups for business and social events. Enhancements include high-tech audiovisual capabilities, ergonomic furniture, new floor plugs, wireless high-speed Internet and new bathrooms.

The Link@Sheraton® experienced with Microsoft® lets guests connect with work and home via computer stations and complimentary wireless high-speed Internet access. It is located adjacent to the lobby.

Serving farm-to-table, contemporary American cuisine, the full-service Sheraton Link Café is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In addition to a welcoming, casual ambiance, the Café also boasts a full bar. The hotel bar features the signature Sheraton Social Hour program, which invites guests to sample a curated menu of 90+ wines selected by the Wine Spectator Magazine.

To accommodate today’s health-conscious traveler, the hotel’s state-of-the-art fitness center, featuring Sheraton Fitness programmed by Core® Performance, is equipped with everything guests need to stay fit while on the road. A seasonal, outdoor swimming pool offers an alternative way to relax and stay in shape, and the hotel’s restaurant and in-room dining menus incorporate signature Sheraton “Color Your Plate” fresh and healthy dining options.
