Skyline to Manage Toronto’s King Eddy Hotel Beginning July 17

Skyline Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement to manage Toronto’s landmark King Edward Hotel, beginning July 17.

The management agreement builds on Skyline’s role as asset manager for the 109-year-old luxury hotel.

In March, 2010, an ownership group including Skyline, Made In Italy Fashions Inc., Serruya Realty Group and Dundee KE Limited Partnership bought the property. Currently, a renovation is underway, of the third, fourth and fifth floors, which are being transformed into 145 private residences slated for completion in early 2013.

The next step in the 298-room hotel’s re-fit plan is the renovation of all guestrooms and public spaces, including the re-opening of the penthouse-level Crystal Ballroom, abandoned since the 1950s.

That ballroom restoration is expected to be complete by New Year’s Eve 2012.

Other amenities include 21,000 sq. ft. of meeting space and the Royal Club Lounge, offering services to select guestrooms.

Top comedy acts, some variety, all pros from TV/Film/Radio/print/internet, etc…..and again……NO PROFANITY!!!!!
