The Québec Cabinet has appointed Raymond Larivée as president and CEO of the Société de Palais des congrès de Montréal. The appointment is effective February 10, 2014.
“A season veteran of the tourism industry, Mr. Larivée knows what we need and how to take charge of the challenges we will be facing,” said Claude Liboiron, chairman of the Palais des congrès’ Board of Directors.
Larivée comes to the Palais des congrès from Delta Hotels and Resorts, where he has worked for the last 18 years, most recently serving as regional vice-president of Operations. Prior to joining Delta, he held positions at Hotel Vogue Montreal and the Sheraton Laval. A member of the Palais Board of Directors since 2009, he chaired the Human Resources Committee for the last two years.
Larivée has an MBA from the HEC School of Business and is also a graduate of the Institut de tourisme et d’hôtellerie du Québec.
