Colleen Keating, senior vice-president of operations for Starwood Hotels & Resorts, has announced the appointment of David Connor as area managing director for eastern Canada and general manager of the 1,377-room Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel. In this role, he will manage operations, sales and marketing for the hotel as well as oversee the operations of six Starwood owned, managed and joint-venture hotels in Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal.
This appointment marks Connor’s return to Canada, where he began his 22 year career with Starwood. “I am thrilled to return to Canada and to be leading the teams at the Sheraton Centre Toronto and Starwood’s portfolio in eastern Canada,” says Connor. “I look forward to working with the management teams at the Sheraton Centre Toronto and our hotels across eastern Canada to deliver memorable experiences for our guests while continuing to drive outstanding results.”
