Swiss-based congress- and event-management company MCI has bought Toronto-based conference- and destination management company Congress Canada.
Congress Canada founder Pam Graham, DMCP, will join MCI as a senior advisor. All told, the acquisition will bring 11 new operational experts to MCI.
“We are confident that this move will allow us to further enhance our position in Canada,” says Graham. “We are thrilled to join forces with a company who, in addition to our business objectives, shares in our values of strong corporate social responsibility and education.”
Founded in 1989, Congress Canada provides conference and event management services for clients in the scientific, medical and business sectors.
The company has been lauded globally for its events, including its services for the successful 2006 World AIDS Conference, in Toronto.
