The Westin Calgary Announces New Team Members


The Westin Calgary has added three new members to their team.

John Conmee has been named director of banquets overseeing this important department at the hotel. He joins the team from The Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto where he was assistant director of banquets and was a key contributor to the team’s success. Prior to joining Starwood Hotels & Resorts, he held management positions at Toronto’s Blowfish Restaurant and Sake Bar as well as The Burlington Hotel in his native Dublin, Ireland.

David Barbour has been appointed director of front office. In this role he will oversee all Front Office operations including Front Desk, Service Express, and Concierge. He brings over 10 years of hotel experience to The Westin Calgary. He has a vast hospitality background having worked at the Fairmont Empress, Victoria, Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, Fairmont Olympic Hotel, Seattle, The Plaza in New York and The Fairmont Kea Lani.

Harvey Warren has been appointed to the position of Starbucks manager at The Westin Calgary. He joins the hotel from The Keg Steakhouse and Bar where he held the position of kitchen operations manager, assistant general manager, and national training manager.  He previously worked for Starbucks as a store manager as well as senior merchandising specialist.
