The just-opened Thompson Toronto hotel features 30,000 sq. ft. of dining and event space, offering plenty of options for meeting and event planners.
Designed by New York-based Studio Gaia, the 102-room Thompson Toronto includes a private rooftop bar/lounge, on the 16th floor, providing panoramic city views accommodating 200.
A lobby lounge/bar hosts 80; a lower-level lounge/bar, 150.
Regarding meeting and event spaces, a screening room seats 40, while the Stewart meeting room, featuring a 60-inch plasma screen, seats 30.
Accommodating 300, the Wellington Room offers 3,170 sq. ft. for events. On the third floor, the Terrace, overlooking Victoria Memorial Park, hosts 200.
On the dining side, The Counter, a 105-seat, 24-hour diner, has opened. Scarpetta, serving upscale Italian fare created by New York restaurateur Scott Conant, is expected to open any day now.
A Japanese restaurant, Wabora, seating 150, will also open, likely after Scarpetta.
