The Toronto Congress Centre has launched a 30,000-sq.-ft., pillar-free ballroom in its North building.
Within days of opening, the congress centre hosted Acklands-Grainger Inc. (AGI), a major distributor of industrial, safety and fastener products.
As part of that meeting, the new ballroom accommodated more than 3,000 AGI guests for their gala dinners and themed events.
Spread out over two buildings, the Toronto Congress Centre’s 1-million sq. ft. of multifunctional space includes 70 meeting rooms, each with its own climate control and high-speed Internet. Most rooms can be reconfigured.
In addition, the facility features a number of pre-function spaces.
On the green-meetings side, the centre provides zero-waste and linen-free event options, highlights local food growers and offers energy efficient features.
