Quebec's Charlevoix region offers eye-popping scenery.
Following a two-year refurbishment, the Train of Le Massif de Charlevoix is ready to embark on tours between Quebec City and La Malbaie, Que., starting Sept. 9.
Along the 140 km. journey through the Charlevox region, the train stops at a scenic mountain towering over the St. Lawrence River, and will visit La Ferme, a hotel complex expected to open next spring.
Each of the eight standard Pullman railcars is equipped with a kitchen equipped to serve 70 gourmet lunches and dinners.
Healthy menu items are also available, as are dishes for those with special preferences (vegetarian dishes, for instance) or food allergies.
As for Internet access, WiFi is available throughout the journey. Full bar service is also offered.
In all, 27 fall departures have been scheduled from Sept. 9 to Oct. 16.
