Passengers travelling to or through the UK this week should expect delays and long line-ups at several UK airports, including London’s busy Heathrow Airport.
At the time of publication, union bosses confirmed nearly 600 UK Border Agency staff is set to stage a two-day national strike on Wednesday, Oct. 13 and Thursday, Oct. 14, according to The Daily Mail.
Those entering the UK through airports, seaports, or on Eurostar and the Eurotunnel car transporter should prepare for inconvenience and delays at border control.
A Border Agency spokesperson says security at the border will not be compromised.
