Uptown Waterloo Gets First Four-Star Hotel

Delta Hotels and Resorts® officially opened the new Delta Waterloo this week. The 194-room property is part of the city’s 14-acre Barrelyards community.

The hotel is located in the core of Waterloo, Ontario’s fourth largest urban area and home to several internationally-recognized institutions including the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics and the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) . It has approximately 6,500 square feet of meeting and conference space including a 2,800-square-foot ballroom.

The property also has a ground floor restaurant, Proof Kitchen + Lounge. Under the direction of executive chef Tim Dunnill, its menu offers a variety of dishes showcasing ingredients from local producers such as Paradise Farms, Pine River Cheese, Martin’s Family Fruit Farm and Woolwich Dairy. Proof’s main dining room seats 138. It also has two separate private dining rooms, a bar lounge, and a large 100-seat outdoor patio dining space.
