After an extensive, North America-wide recruitment search, Adam Radziminski has been appointed Director, Events at the Vancouver Convention Centre (VCC).
Radziminski has more than 10 years experience leading teams in the local conference and event management industry. He has successfully executed events ranging from international conferences to music festivals and sporting events.
“We are thrilled to have Adam join our team,” says craig Lehto, assistant general manager, Vancouver Convention Centre. “His proven leadership qualities and experience in event management make him ideally suited to build on the tremendous accomplishments of our facility, and to support our team in successfully embracing the changes of our evolving industry.”
Radziminski comes to the VCC from MCI Group Canada Inc. where he served as Director, Operations for the last three years. At MCI, he led the Operations team in the delivery of global conferences and events. Prior to that, he served in project and event management roles at several organizations including Advance Group Conference Management, Seas-to-Sky Meeting Management and Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
Born and raised in Vancouver, Radziminski is excited to be part of the VCC team. “From the client perspective over the years, I have always been impressed with the exceptional team at the convention centre and the incredible venue,” he says. “It feels like a dream come true to join a team that is considered best in class, to work in such a landmark facility and to have the opportunity to positively impact the local community and the meetings industry.”
