The Cannery Seafood Restaurant, on Vancouver’s waterfront, has introduced weekend brunch. The Cannery Brunch by the Sea is served every Saturday and Sunday, offering executive chef Wayne Sych’s signature dishes and creative spins on traditional dishes, such as lobster benedict and smoked black cod hash.
Opened in 1971, The Cannery Seafood House was built in the rough-hewn style of an historic West Coast cannery, with every table featuring a panoramic ocean and mountain view. The restaurant is 15 minutes from downtown Vancouver and offers free parking and a docking facility for boats and floatplanes.
Since Port Metro Vancouver didn’t extend the restaurant’s lease for security and operational reasons, The Cannery will, next spring, move from the Vancouver waterfront. Currently, the restaurant’s owners are searching for a new site.
