Vito Romeo has been appointed general manager of the Shangri-La Hotel, Vancouver.
From 2009 to March, 2012, Romeo served as resident manager of the Shangri-La Hotel, Beijing.
Romeo joined Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts in 2008 as the executive assistant manager, food and beverage at the company’s Aberdeen Marina Club, in Hong Kong.
Immediately prior to joining Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, he served as resident manager of the Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo.
From 1998 to 2006, Romeo honed his management skills at some leading luxury hotels, including Hotel Conrad Brussels and Hotel Principe di Savoia – Milano.
He replaces Richard Cooke, who served as interim general manager in Vancouver, before relocating to Toronto to oversee the August opening of Shangri-La Hotel, Toronto.
