W Montreal has won a 4-Key rating from the Green Key Eco-Rating Program, demonstrating that the property has shown commitment to protecting the environment.
For instance, W Montreal operates a full paper-, cardboard-, glass- and beverage-container recycling programme. Guestrooms feature water-saving toilets and faucets.
Gently used linens, soap bars and toiletries are donated to charity. Energy-efficient lightbulbs are utilized in public areas and exit signage, and many areas of the hotel are on timers to save energy.
Through the Green Card programme, guests are encouraged to join in water, energy and detergent conservation by reusing their bed linens and towels for stays longer than one night.
The designation is administered by Green Key Global, which provides a voluntary and self-administered rating system designed to recognize hotels that are committed to improving their environmental and fiscal performance.
