The W New York – Union Square recently unveiled the completion of a multi-layered renovation which included a full re-design of the hotel’s 270 guestrooms and top suites, restaurant, bar and the lobby area—in W speak, the Living Room.
The Extreme WOW® Suite (known at other hotels as the Presidential Suite) has been designed to do double duty: stylish hotel suite meets fashionable event venue. The suite is equipped with state-of-the-art audio and video capabilities including wall units that can easily interchange from dining room table to space for a DJ booth.
The renovation preserved the original design details of the landmark Manhattan 1911 Beaux Arts building, including the 2,300 square foot Great Room with its 23-foot high ceiling and original Beaux Arts detailing. The hotel offers over 7,000 square feet of conference facilities including seven state-of-the-art meeting rooms.
The transformation is part of the W brand’s ongoing, $100 million commitment to the renovation of more than 11 of its properties across North America.
