Tim Reardon has been appointed general manager of The Westin Harbour Castle hotel in downtown Toronto. David Connor, area managing director of Operations for Starwood Hotels & Resorts, made the announcement today.
Most recently Reardon was GM of the Sheraton Gateway Hotel in Toronto International Airport. Prior to his time at the Sheraton Gateway, he was the general manager at the former Le Méridien King Edward Hotel (now Omni King Edward Hotel) in downtown Toronto. Reardon brings more than 20 years of hospitality experience to his new role.
Taking the helm at the 977-room Westin Harbour Castle with more than 70,000 sq.ft. of premium convention, meeting and event space is particularly satisfying for Reardon. “I am delighted to be back in the heart of one of North America’s most vibrant cities and be leading the dynamic team at The Westin Harbour Castle,” he said. “At the Westin our focus is on the well-being of our guests, ensuring they leave feeling better than when they arrived. Our team looks forward to bringing the Westin Well-Being movement to life for business and leisure guests while they visit Toronto. ”
Since joining Starwood in 1999, Reardon has held a number of other leadership roles including Director of Food & Beverage at the Sheraton Atlantic City and Director of Operations – New Builds & Transitions for Starwood-North America. He is a long-standing member of Tourism Toronto, Skäl International, Chaines des Rotisseurs and an active board member for the Greater Toronto Hotel Association.
