WestJet will fly non-stop between Toronto and San Juan, Puerto Rico, twice weekly this winter.
Service between the two destinations will operate Saturdays and Sundays from Nov. 5, 2011 to April 28, 2012. Service connects to many of WestJet’s Canadian cities and daily code-share service to San Juan via Miami is also available.
“San Juan is known as one of the busiest cruise ship ports in the world as well as for its own distinct charm and hospitality,” said John MacLeod, WestJet vice-president of network management and alliances. “We look forward to offering our guests the opportunity to travel to our 17th Caribbean destination.”
The Department of Economic Development and Commerce of Puerto Rico estimates this new flight will have an economic impact of $6.8 million.
