West Jet is launching service to Bermuda next May.
WestJet will begin seasonal non-stop service from Toronto to Bermuda, beginning in May 2010.
Recently voted as the number one island in the Atlantic and Caribbean region by the prestigious Condé Nast magazine, Bermuda is the fourteenth Atlantic/Caribbean destination for WestJet.
The airline also provides non-stop service to Jamaica, Barbados, Bahamas, the Dominican Republic, St. Lucia, St. Maarten, Cuba, and the Turks and Caicos, all top Caribbean meeting places.
More information on the summer schedule, including new destinations and increased frequencies, subject to applicable regulatory approvals, will be available in mid-December.
In other news, WestJet has been named Canadian airline of the year by the tourism industry of Mazatlan, Mexico.
This is the first time WestJet has received The Golden Deer award, in recognition and appreciation for the airline’s support of tourism in Mazatlan.
