Dazzboard lets you move pictures, music or videos from your mobile devices to your PC. By Adam Pletsch, Sept/Oct 2009
“On average, people have three to four digital devices,” says Tero Salonen, CEO of Dazzboard, based in Espoo, Finland. “So you’ve got your digital camera, your mobile phone, your MP3 player and your video camera. With one application, you can connect all of those.”
In addition, Dazzboard, a free download from www.dazzboard.com, has signed a deal with MySites (www.mysites.com) that gives users unlimited storage of their personal media files. So perhaps images or videos you’ve taken from a conference are piling up on your handheld device. Simply upload them to your computer and/or to the MySites storage cloud (using Dazzboard), until you decide whether you want to share them on any social networks.
MySites, also free, has no upload, download or speed limits. You can also play media directly from MySites. Dazzboard currently supports Windows XP, Vista and 7, Internet Explorer version 6 (XP only) 7 and 8, and all iterations of Firefox Version 3. The company says it will support Google Chrome and the Mac OS soon.
