Delta Hotels Enters Asia-Pacific Market

The   Delta Hotels by Marriott Shanghai Baoshan in China officially opened on January 2nd, marking the inaugural entry of the premium North American hotel brand into the Asia-Pacific market.

Delta Hotels became part of the Marriott International two years ago and has since become one of the fastest-growing brands in the Marriott portfolio, with a Delta hotel opening every other week. It expects to expand its global portfolio to 66 properties worldwide by the end of 2018.

The new Delta Hotels by Marriott Shanghai Baoshan is owned and managed by Shanghai Baolian Real Estate Co., Ltd. The building, with its striking Georgian-inspired façade, is located close to downtown Shanghai in the city’s waterfront Baoshan district, at the mouth of the Huangpu River, and is a five-minute drive from the futuristic Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal.

The property’s guestrooms feature:

  • high-ceilings;
  • 55-inch flatscreen LCD TVs;
  • air purifiers;
  • capsule coffee machines;
  • and premium bath amenities.

It also has nearly 12,000 square feet of meeting and event space, all on one floor. The space includes five meeting rooms and a pillarless Grand Ballroom. The largest space is 6,996.5 square feet. All rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment.

F&b outlets at the property include the  Lotus All Day Dining Restaurant (casual American style); The Kitchen (steak and seafood); TRU (authentic Cantonese cuisine); Lobby Lounge (baked goods and drinks); and DWB (bar/lounge.
