“The completed renovations appeal to the values and desires of our guests, while ensuring that we meet the consistent offerings of the Holiday Inn Express® brand that they have come to expect. This hotel provides everything they need for their stay and nothing that they don’t. This ethos is integral to the Holiday Inn Express experience,” said Tim Tindle, vice-president, Operations, Atlific Hotels. “We are delighted with the hotel’s new look and are confident that guests will enjoy the thoughtful and efficient upgrades put in place.”
Designed by Marshall Tittlemore Architects, the renovations include:
new floor, wall and ceiling finishes paired with colourful artwork and streamlined window coverings in the lobby and public spaces;
new fireplace and check-in pods in the lobby;
updated Market Sundry Shop;
new beds backed with wood laminate headboards, accent lighting and wall-mounted sconces in the guestrooms;
chaise lounge or tub chair, mobile tables and adjustable tables in guestrooms.
Located in the northeast Calgary suburb of Airdrie, the four-storey property has 79 guestrooms, including 26 suites; one meeting room; and a business centre. It is a 20-minute drive to/from Calgary International Airport, and close to a number of popular attractions—Century Downs Racetrack and Casino, Bert Church Live Theatre, and Woodside Golf Course.
