PCMA Announces Staff Promotions

The Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) has announced the promotions of Jennifer Kingen Kush to vice-president and Alison Milgram to director of events.

Kingen Kush will continue to retain her role as executive director of PCMA’s Digital Experience Institute and lead PCMA’s live streaming events; Milgram will oversee the event logistics for PCMA’s multiple events including, but not limited to, Convening Leaders, June conference, and Influencers Summit, in addition to working on securing future PCMA event locations and venues.

As leader of PCMA’s Digital Experience Institute (DEI), Kingen Kush ensures the organization delivers the latest research, trends, education and content to its audience of hybrid and digital event producers. She frequently speaks on the value of hybrid and digital events and consults with organizations seeking to amplify their reach and drive results by implementing these new strategic initiatives.

Kingen Kush has served in various integral roles with PCMA over the last 12 years including director of experience marketing – delivering PCMA’s digital events since their inception in 2010— and director of member relations. Prior to PCMA, she served as the director of Strategic Services with the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau (now Choose Chicago).

Alison Milgram, CMP, DES

In 2014 Alison joined the PCMA events team, where her lens was focused on elevating the organization’s food and beverage experiences, collaborating with the PCMA Education Foundation team on the Visionary Awards and managing the event logistics for the Global Professionals Conference. Alison began her career in the business events industry at SmithBucklin Corporation, followed by positions with several Chicago hotels. Prior to joining PCMA, she served as the associate director of events for the Conrad Chicago.

“Jennifer and Alison have been key contributors to PCMA success, and we were thrilled to announce their promotions to these important positions,” said Deborah Sexton, PCMA president and CEO.

Sexton, who has headed the association for more than 12 years, announced in early December that she would be moving on following Convening Leaders 2018, which is being held January 7-10 in Nashville, TN. PCMA COO Sheriff Karamat will succeed Sexton.
